Hi! My name is Bill. In 2010, I got back seriously into photography when I purchased a digital SLR camera. Back in the day, I had a 35mm film camera, but I did not like the smell of the chemicals in printing photos in the lab and gradually stopped making pictures. Like the majority of people, I found my way into point and shoot digital cameras. But with the DSLR, I have found the magic again of making photos in street photography, waiting for the right light and missing more shots which I know would have been my next iconic image.
In 2016, I bought a Mamiya 645 medium format film camera to get back to the distinctive look of film. It brings back the challenges, but more importantly the magic of making film images.
I am all about the streets, I live in a photographer’s playground, the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia).
(PS – if you are a bourbon drinker, you really need to try Eagle Rare distilled by Buffalo Trace. This is my go to drink. Although not on display, George Blanton also distilled by Buffalo Trace is another excellent bourbon. Life is entirely too short…make your own story.)
